Picture if you will, a day to yourself. Where will you go this day; to the ocean to smell the salt air and listen to the birds? Or walk along your favorite stream to a waterfall that showers you with its pure light energy. You may want to just sit and think. What comes to mind as you sit contemplating? Do you look around and really see what is in front of you?
Notice your breath, does it move in and out easily, are you able to breathe a little deeper now? With each breath you should become more quiet, calm, centered and feel balanced.
This visualization is intended to remind you how important it is to stop and just be, to listen to yourself, what is your body telling you? This is all about being and not doing.
I know from experience that I am not present often enough. A multi-tasking life style makes for a never-ending circle of stress unless we learn to clear our energy and become centered.
Reiki, (pronounced ray-key) translates to universal life force energy. Reiki is a natural healing technique that feels like a flow of high frequency energy into and through a practitioner, and out the hands into the client. Reiki energy and the powerful, yet subtle effects it has on the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual bodies has been in practices for thousands of years in Tibet, Japan, and other cultures.
As I discuss in greater detail on the following pages, there are some wonderful healing benefits from Reiki. It is my belief that prevention is far more important than attempting to heal ourselves later. There are many resources on the following pages.
While Reiki has wonderful healing benefits, it is not to be used instead of regular medical care. Reiki practitioners do not practice medicine and therefore do not diagnose. Please seek medical assistance if you are experiencing health related issues.
I hope you will learn what you need about energy work and enjoy your journey.
